BPOS Point-of-Sale Software

"designed and developed by experts in the industry, for the industry"

BPOS Point of Sale Software is an innovative, flexible and secure Windows based, touch screen point of sale software for the hospitality and retail industries including restaurants, bars, nightclubs and retail stores.

General Benefits of BPOS point of sale software

BPOS point of sale software operates on a Microsoft .Net platform with a SQL database provides maximum speed, flexibility, efficiency and security for the user.

Speed

BPOS point of sale software is designed to provide maximum speed for the end user. There is nothing worse than a slow point-of-sale terminal when trying to provide maximum customer service to your guests. BPOS point of sale software maintains all transactions on local terminals in order to maximize speed. This eliminates the need for the terminal to "talk" to the server in order to process the order. Once the transaction is completed, it is immediately synchronized on all terminals and servers for full access. This process is transparent to the end user but is critical in high volume environments.

Flexibility

BPOS point of sale software has been developed to provide end users with maximum flexibility. All front-of-the-house screens are fully customizable through the use of a dynamic user interface. Screens may be arranged in any format. Buttons can be designed into various shapes, colors and sizes. Most importantly, is that all of this can be accomplished by the vast majority of users without the need to call technical support.

Efficiency

BPOS point of sale software provides a full variety of tools to help clients increase efficiency including full inventory capabilities, purchase order processing, an advanced scheduling module, advanced delivery and dispatch capabilities, import/export capabilities, a custom report writer, business intelligence reports and a video surveillance integration module. BPOS point of sale software is in investment for your company.

Security

BPOS point of sale software is designed to provide maximum security for all your data including full redundancy. All open transactions are stored on all terminals temporarily. If for any reason a server went down, all the terminals would continue to process transactions as normal. Once the server is back on line the server and all terminals would be automatically synchronized.

Common Functionality of BPOS point of sale software

BTS recognizes that there are both common and unique qualities within each of the four primary industries we serve. BPOS Point of Sale software has been designed and developed to address both the common and unique needs of each industry. For information on the unique qualities of BPOS by industry please see BPOS Restaurant pos, BPOS bar pos, BPOS nightclub pos and BPOS retail pos.

Customization

The entire theme of BPOS point of sale software is customization. Throughout the BPOS point of sale software clients will find the ability to customize many things including reports, POS screens, receipts and checkout reports, security setting by employee and button or screen, menu setup, a variety of ways to categorize items and employees in order to customize reports and tracking, and many other custom settings through BPOS point of sale software.

BTS fully understands that each client has unique needs and the entire development process of BPOS point of sale software took this into account. All clients will be pleasantly surprised to find and use the extreme customization allowed within BPOS point of sale software.

Custom Reports

BPOS point of sale software is designed to allow the user design their own reports by categories such as business intelligence, human resources, inventory, items, sales, scheduling and time clock. Reports are individually designed and saved using a wide variety of parameters in each category. For example, an "Employee Master" report may be designed to include any of the over hundred individual items that are maintained in the employee master file. Items may be combined to design different reports for different reasons. An employee phone list may simply contain Last Name, First Name, Telephone number while a employee contact list may also include Employee Address, Employee Email, etc.

Once a report is designed it may then be processed each time using an array of criteria such as date range, employee name range, employee number range, active vs. inactive employees, etc. This format allows each user to personalize reports, adjusting to the clients needs. See BPOS Point of sale software Report Designing for more information on designing reports. See SQL report writer and SQL Query for technical information on how this service is provided.

Additionally, BPOS point of sale software allows the user to design their floor reports such as kitchen chits, tabs, cc receipts, server checkout reports, etc. on a line by line basis including areas for listing specials, coupons, etc.

POS Screen Setup

BPOS point of sale software lets customer customize all of their POS screens thru POS Screen Setup. Each screen may have a variety of functional tools attached to it such as a ticket window, address window, 10 key, text box, keyboard, etc and these tools may be sized and placed on the screen in any way the user likes. In addition, three types of buttons including item buttons, category buttons and function buttons may be placed on the screen as desired. These buttons provide all of the functionality of the point of sale system.

Once all tools and buttons have been placed as desired the user may then customize all of these using a properties menu for each one that allows the user to customize a wide variety of adjustments such as like font, size, shape, color, background color, depth, button type, text on the button, type of button, etc.

Once changes are done and the screen is saved the changes will auto-sync through the point of sale system.

Employee Scheduling

BPOS point of sale software provides a comprehensive scheduling module that may be used in addition to the standard time clock functions provided by most point of sale systems. There are three primary parts to scheduling that include defaults, the master schedule and the working schedule.

Defaults

There are many default setup which allow each client to customize their scheduling functions. For example, color coding may be used to identify if a person is on overtime, if a shift is open, if someone clocked in late and a variety of other items. Defaults are also used to define items such as the work week, the work day, overtime methods use, and the pay period.

Master Schedule

the master schedule is used to setup permanent schedules by departments and jobs. Shifts are setup and defined for each day of the week including start times, expected end times, break times, etc. Employees are then assigned to shifts based on their availability and the requirements of the job. The master schedule will alert the user via color coding and pop ups when a person is placed on overtime, when a shift is open, etc.

Working Schedule

The working schedule is populated by the master schedule each week. As employees clock in and out the working schedule will record the actual times. In addition the working schedule is used to make adjustments for things such as call offs, added employees, and scheduling shifts. The information in the working schedule is used to generate actual time worked and payroll export reports.

Inventory

BPOS point of sale software provides a comprehensive inventory program that is used to maintain vendors, generate purchase orders, receive orders, adjust inventory and take physical counts of inventory on hand. Reports may be generated for inventory on hand as well as reports identifying what needs to be ordered. In addition, the inventory section of BPOS point of sale software is where all items are setup for use within the point of sale system.

BTS is currently in the process of greatly enhancing the inventory system as based upon industry including the to track ingredients and maintain liquor inventory for the restaurant, bar and nightclub industries and the ability to track bin and shelf locations for the retail industry.
